Ki of NC – Contributor

In 2009 Ki’ of NC made the move from North Carolina to Chicago in hopes to further his musical career as a producer. Ki’ began to do various beat battles to help promote his music and eventually met with videographer named Rookie Chi to form The Ol’ Days Hip Hop group.  Ki’ and his group The Ol’ Days released the album “1979” in early 2014 and went on to open up for high profiled acts such as Slum Village, The Jungle Brothers and Talib Kweli.  Since moving to Chicago Ki’ has collaborated with many local artists and won two major beat battles. Ki’ has won The Fresh Produce Beat Battle featuring 9^th Wonder and the Purified Beat Battle featuring Dj Premier.
